A New Brand Started With A Brand New Can

In the beginning, the can had to be the storyteller. Because it would likely be the only thing anyone would ever see. Everything had to belong and help push the story down the road. The colors: CA to the core—sun, sand, sea and sky inspired. The copy: CA fresh, playful, take-it-easy friendly and even interactive—it intentionally wraps around the top the bottom so you have to turn the can to read it. And the design: CA crisp, clean and hand-crafted, but with lots of little details to discover.

Everything Else

The can was king, but we also created design systems, guidelines and a full suite of assets to support the new brand. Everything from the brand logo, mascot and brand icons, to POS, gear and other swag. 

Take it easier.

Sure, Golden State’s lovable sea otter mascot is named Seamus, now. But through all the design and brand development phases we called him…Boswold.
